Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information H New Media Law International ("the firm," "we," or "us") collects through www.hnewmedia.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies only to this website. HNM Brands and HNM Agents operate their own websites and have their own privacy policies.
Information we collect
Information you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive the information you enter: your name, company, email address, telephone number, country, the subject you select, your message, and your confirmation of the notice about attorney-client relationships. If you write to us by email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share.
Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
What we do not collect. This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracking technology. The fonts and images on this site are served from our own host, not from third-party services.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it.
- To run a conflict of interest check before we agree to represent anyone, as the rules of professional conduct require.
- To evaluate and, if we both agree, begin a legal engagement.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes your information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site and our practice, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives and stores contact form submissions on our behalf. Netlify screens form submissions for spam using an automated filtering service.
- Our email provider delivers form notifications and correspondence to the firm.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or the rules governing lawyers, or to protect the rights and safety of the firm, our clients, or others.
Confidentiality before and after engagement
Sending us information through this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details until we have confirmed that we can represent you and an engagement letter is signed. Once you become a client, your information is also protected by the firm's professional duty of confidentiality.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and, where it is relevant to conflict checks or a client matter, for as long as our professional obligations and applicable law require. Form submissions are periodically removed from our hosting account once they are no longer needed there.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will honor your request unless we are required to keep the information, for example to maintain conflict records. To make a request, email inbox@hnewmedia.com.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. We process your information to take steps you request before a possible engagement and for our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and meeting our professional obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your information, to receive a copy of it, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The firm is located in the United States, and information you send is stored and processed there.
California visitors. This policy describes the categories of personal information we collect and the third parties with whom we share it. You may review and request changes to your information by contacting us as described above. Because this site does not track visitors, it does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals, and no third party collects personal information about your online activity across websites through this site.
Security
This site is served only over encrypted connections, and we limit access to form submissions to firm personnel. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is one more reason not to send confidential information before an engagement.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including HNM Brands and HNM Agents. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and change the effective date above.
